Youth Centre Anjala

Youth Centre Anjala is one of the ten youth centres in Finland supported and supervised by our ministry of education and culture. Youth Centre Anjala is located in the city of Kouvola.  We are situated in the beautiful and historical area of Ankkapurha by the river Kymi. We are just over one hour’s drive away from the Helsinki region.

Our main purpose is to serve children and youth as well as support the work of teachers and trainers. Our main operation is to provide camp school services.

Our facilities:

• Accommodation for 101 people in apartments of 12-15 people

Activities

We have a strong expertise on using experiential and action-based pedagogy, as well as adventure education. Our activities emphasize on group work, and improving one’s social skills by using the methods of adventure education, not forgetting the environment either.

Youth Centre Villa Elba

Villa Elba is an international Youth Centre in Kokkola, by the sea (50 m to the beach).

Our facilities:

Restaurant

Meeting room

• Hall where we can host 200 persons

• Classroom for 40 persons

• 5 meeting rooms with different size

• 2 wooden houses with a meeting room and accommodation possibilities

• 2 saunas (1 wooden and 1 electric)

Cabin 1

• 6 cabins with 75 beds, rooms for 2-8

• 10 office rooms for the staff

• Football and beach volley area

• Great hiking routes in forest

• There is a great possibility for swimming and canoeing as well as rowing with boat that can                                                   take 16 persons.

• We have 2 islands where we have cottage and sauna. Islands can be reached by boat transportation.

• Winter time you can ski, skate on the sea and do winter fishing.

We also have computers in every meeting room with video shooter  Cd players, PA system in main hall. We have equipment for making short films (cameras, editing programs) and digital cameras, and we have karaoke equipment.

Old Villa

Villa Elba is 4 km away from the center of Kokkola. In the city,there is wonderful spa/swimming pool, ice hall, football hall, sport hall and many outdoor sport facilities.

Our target group are young people up to 29 years old. We work with many kind of groups but as well disadvantage groups, minorities etc. We have about 20000 young visitors( young people under 29 years old) in our programs every year.

Our activities:

International Leader training course

International programs, camps, youth exchange programs, training, voluntary service programs, promotion campaigns. Nature school programs; environmental education programs and activities for school classes and youth groups, adventure programs, recreation days, etc...

Euromance Camp

We serve local, regional, national youth work in Finland and work with hundreds of different youth organisations. We have 120 contact organisations abroad.
